On Sunday 11 April 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley attended a Solemn Remembrance Service at St Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney, and signed a condolence book following the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Melbourne, Victoria.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended a commemoration service for the 80th Anniversary of the Siege of Tobruk at The Rats of Tobruk Reserve, in Albert Park, Victoria.
