On Friday 14 May 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Stuart Ellis AM, Chief Executive Officer, Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Authorities Council, attended the National Memorial Service for fire and emergency personnel.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted The Global Foundation’s Canberra Roundtable.
