On Wednesday 19 May 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, participated in a live reading for National Simultaneous Storytime 2021, at the State Library of New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Isaiah Dawe, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, ID Know Yourself.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon tea to announce the recipients of the Macular Disease Foundation's Research Grants Program.

Then, the Governor-General received a phone call from Ms Frances Adamson, Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the NELUNE Foundation.
