On Monday 24 May 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley received Mr Mark Johnston, Chairman and Director, Australian National Veterans Arts Museum, and Mrs Tanja Johnston, Head of Arts Program, Australian National Veterans Arts Museum.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from Ms Barbara Baker, Governor-designate of Tasmania.

Later, the Governor-General was interviewed by Mr Doug Dingwell, Canberra Times.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for Mr John and Mrs Val Leyshon.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the launch of National Palliative Care Week 2021.
