On Friday 4 June 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, together with Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Dame Patsy Reddy GNZM QSO, Governor-General of New Zealand, and Sir David Gascoigne KNZM CBE, attended a wreath laying ceremony at the Australian War Memorial.

Afterwards, the Governor-General recorded video messages for the Australian Institute of Project Management, the Queen's Birthday Honours List and the Australian Antarctic Medal.

Later, the Governor-General met with Mr Jason Trethowan, Chief Executive Officer, and members of Headspace, Victoria, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General met with Dr Garry Nolan AM, Chairman Victorian Division, and members of the Victorian Red Cross' COVID Community Team, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
