On Monday 7 June 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of the Honourable Darren Chester MP, attended the commemorative service for the 50th Anniversary of Operation OVERLORD, including the Battle of Long Khanh, at the Australian Vietnam Forces National Memorial.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest speaker, and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Desmond Woods, President, attended a Rotary Club of Canberra Monday meeting at the Commonwealth Club.

Later, the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Then, the Governor-General received a phone call from Mr John Azarias, Chairman, Lysicrates Foundation.
