On Monday 5 July 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) met with the National Emergency Medal Committee, in person and via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a breakfast and tour of Government House for participants of the Gugan Gulwan Youth Aboriginal Corporation’s school holiday program.

Later, the Governor-General received Dr Justin Lee, Head Of Mission-Designate, Malaysia.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded video messages for Rugby Australia and the Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams, ahead of the postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for Mrs Frances Adamson AC, Governor-Designate, South Australia, and Mr Rod Bunten.

Later, Mrs Hurley met with Ms OJ Rushton, Vice-President and Creative Director, Ozy Youth Choir, via video conference.
