On Monday 26 July 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with Ms Sandra Yates AO, Chair; Dr Ricardo Peach, Executive Director; and representatives of the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Ms Jeanette Weston, Northern Division President, Queensland Country Women's Association, and members of the Northern Division, via video conference.

Later, the Governor General and Mrs Hurley met with Lieutenant General John Caligari AO DSC (Retd), Chair, and staff of The Oasis Townsville, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded a video message for the opening of the 2021 Challenge Games.
