On Tuesday 10 August 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, recorded a video message for the Tidy Town Awards.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Ms Tiara Hunkin, Centre Manager, Ms Jade Gooding, Executive Manager Mental Health; and participants of the afternoon drop-in program of Headspace Katherine, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley met with members of the Australian Red Cross' Connected Women initiative, via video conference.
