On Monday 13 September 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, met with Councillor Jan-Claire Wisdom, Mayor, Adelaide Hills Council, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with staff in the Honours and Awards Branch of Government House, via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Marc Webb, Founder, Hives for Heroes, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Ms Carly Ascott and son, Mr Sebastian Ascott, Founders, Bushfire Kids Connect, via video conference.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received a phone call from the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC, former Governor of South Australia, and Mrs Lan Le.
