On Tuesday 12 October 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with Duke of Edinburgh participants representing Australia at the APEC 2021 Voices of the Future summit, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as Patron, met with patients and staff of the Allowah Presbyterian Children's Hospital, via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with members of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service (Western Area Command), via video conference.
