On Thursday 14 October 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General as Patron, and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley met with Ms Annie Gibbons, Chief Executive Officer, Glaucoma Australia, and Professor Ewa Goldys, Glaucoma Australia’s ‘Quinlivan’ Research Grant recipient via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as Patron, met with members of the Voice, Interests and Education of Women (VIEW) Clubs of Western Australia via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Dr Kerryn Coleman, Australian Capital Territory Chief Health Officer via video conference.
