On Friday 15 October 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley received a phone call from Ms Jacqueline Yanik, Director of Nursing, Goodwin Residential Aged Care Facility – Monash.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded a video message for Pens Against Poverty.

Later, the Governor-General recorded video messages for the Surf Lifesaving Association; Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway and the United Nations Association of Australia.

Then, the Governor-General met with with Her Excellency Ms Penny Williams PSM, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Oscar Wong, Pianist, via video conference.
