On Monday 18 October 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley attended the swearing-in of the new President of the Senate at Australian Parliament House.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley conducted an interview with the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted the launch of the 2021 Bravery Trek in recognition of National Veterans' Health Week.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Victorian Multicultural Faith Leaders via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met Western Australian Chief Health Officer, Dr Andrew Robertson CSC PSM, and members of the Western Australia Department of Health, via video conference.
