On Friday 22 October 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley recorded a video message for Veterans Sport Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General recorded video messages for the National Youth Science Forum, 50 Years of Bilateral Relations with Samoa and Lieutenant General Melvyn Ong AO.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a farewell lunch for His Excellency Mr Yohannes Kristiarto Legowo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, and Mrs Maria Soeharli.
