On Wednesday 27 October 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received a phone call from the Honourable Ken Wyatt AM MP, Minister for Indigenous Australians.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Joanne Moar, Teacher, met with students of the Alice Springs School of the Air via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General, as Chancellor, and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Andrew Bruyn AM, Chair, and members of Order of Australia Association
(Northern Territory Branch) via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General received Mr Paul Cronan, Official Secretary to the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.

Afterwards, the Governor-General recorded a video message for the National Emergency Medal, Queensland Floods Presentation.
