On Friday 5 November 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) hosted a breakfast for the Honourable Scott Morrison MP, Prime Minister of Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled from Admiralty House, New South Wales, to Government House, Australian Capital Territory.

Later, the Governor-General recorded video messages for the National Prayer Breakfast, the National Reconciliation Convention and the Marist Catholic College Penshurst.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Processor Nicola Spurrier PSM, Chief Public Health Officer, South Australia, and members of South Australia Health, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Dr Mark Veitch, Chief Health Officer, Tasmania, and Professor Tony Lawler, Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Secretary, Department of Health Tasmania, via video conference.
