On Thursday 18 November 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Melbourne, Victoria.

Afterwards, the Governor-General as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Mrs Hurley hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Mr Neale Daniher AO at Government House Victoria.

Later, the Governor-General as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Mrs Hurley hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Rabbi Dr John Levi AC at Government House Victoria.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Janet Latchford, Acting Chancellor, met with final-year students and staff at RMIT University.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria, and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, attended a dinner at Government House Victoria.
