On Tuesday 30 November 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), accompanied by Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, received Letters of Credence accrediting His Excellency Mr Darius Degutis as the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania. The Ambassador was accompanied by, Mrs Nida Degutiene, Spouse; and Ms Aistė Jakštiėnė, Deputy Ambassador.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, accompanied by Mrs Hurley, received Letters of Credence accrediting His Excellency Mr Davaasuren Damdinsuren as the Ambassador of Mongolia. The Ambassador was accompanied by, Mrs Dulamsuren Javzandulam, Spouse; Ms Tsend-Ayush Sharavjamts, Consul and First Secretary; and Mr Gan-Erdene Shagdarsuren, Second Secretary.

Later, the Governor-General, accompanied by Mrs Hurley, received Letters of Credence accrediting Her Excellency Mrs Itzel Anays Patino Guerra De Villarreal as the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Augusto Luis Villarreal Amaranto, Spouse; and Mrs Margarita Zurita, First Secretary.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for newly accredited Heads of Mission. Guests included His Excellency Mr Darius Degutis, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania; His Excellency Mr Davaasuren Damdinsuren, Ambassador of Mongolia; His Excellency Mr Miguel Palomino De La Gala, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps; Ambassador of the Republic of Peru; Ms Kathy Klugman, (representing the Foreign Minister) Deputy Secretary, Global Cooperation, Development and Partnerships Group, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Mr Ian McConville, Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Her Excellency Mrs Itzel Anays Patino Guerra De Villarreal, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama; Mr Paul Singer MVO, Official Secretary to the Governor-General and Ms Jo Tarnawsky, Deputy Official Secretary to the Governor-General.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley participated in a Q&A session with participants of the Australian-Indonesian Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP), via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded video messages for the 2022 Smith Family Toy & Book Appeal and VIEW clubs of Australia.

Then, the Governor-General recorded video messages for the National Emergency Medal Presentation and the National Australian Language Awards.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as Joint Patrons, hosted a reception and presentation ceremony for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
