On Wednesday 26 January 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley as guests of Ms Karlie Brand, Chief Executive Officer, National Australia Day Council, attended an Australia Day Smoking Ceremony.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley as guests of Ms Danielle Roche OAM, Chair, National Australia Day Council, attended the National Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremony.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Crookwell, New South Wales.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended the Upper Lachlan Shire Council Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony and Awards.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Crookwell, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
