On Thursday 27 January 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley attended the Women’s Ashes Test Match.

Afterwards, following the departure of the Governor-General from Australia on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, the proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria.
