On Sunday 6 February 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of the Right Reverend Dr Mark Short, attended a Festal Evensong on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of the Accession of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.
