On Wednesday 10 February 2022, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), accompanied by Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, received Letters of Credence accrediting His Excellency Mr Kemal Muftic as the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mrs Jasna Baksic-Muftic, Spouse, and Ms Zorica Zirojevic, Counsellor, Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Afterwards, the Governor-General, accompanied by Mrs Hurley, received Letters of Credence accrediting Her Excellency Mrs Wassane Zailachi as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Hamid Mernissi, Spouse, Mr Youssef Rahmoune, First Secretary, Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, Ms Meryem Hansali, First Secretary, Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, and Mr Mohamed Rabhi, First Secretary, Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Later, the Governor-General, accompanied by Mrs Hurley, received Letters of Credence accrediting Her Excellency Mrs Caroline Bichet-Anthamatten as the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Emmanuel Bichet, Spouse, and Mr Fabian Grass, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland.
Then, the Governor-General, accompanied by Mrs Hurley, received Letters of Credence accrediting His Excellency Mr Amir Maimon as the Ambassador of the State of Israel. The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms Tal Maimon, Spouse, Mr Ron Gerstenfeld, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Israel, Mr Nir Reubinoff, Consul, Embassy of Israel, and Ms Hila Oved, Spokesperson, Embassy of Israel.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for newly accredited Heads of Mission.
