Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Dr Helen Cheney, High Commissioner to the Republic of Nauru.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received His Excellency Lionel Aingimea, President of the Republic of Nauru, and Her Excellency Madam Ingrid Aingimea, First Lady of the Republic of Nauru.

Then, the Governor-General received a phone call from Councillor Sharon Cadwallader, Mayor, Ballina Shire Council.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received a phone call from Councillor Glen Hartwig, Mayor, Gympie Regional Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from Councillor Steve Krieg, Mayor, Lismore City Council.

Later, the Governor-General received a phone call from The Right Honourable Adrian Schrinner, Lord Mayor, Brisbane City Council.
