Later, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Hurley recorded a video message for International Women's Day.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a presentation ceremony and lunch for Corporal Matthew Reid, 2021 Hassett Trophy Winner.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the 50th anniversary of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Australia.
