On Sunday 6 March 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Father Stefan Sapun, attended Sunday service at Our Lady of Protection, Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley as guests of Mr Lowry Boyd, Local Controller, met with volunteers and received a briefing on the flood recovery at the Queensland State Emergency Service Brisbane Unit.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Councillor Peter Matic, Councillor – Paddington Ward, met with flood-affected business owners and residents in Rosalie.
