On Monday 28 March 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Wollongong, New South Wales.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Acting Commissioner Daniel Austin, NSW SES, met with staff and volunteers at NSW SES Headquarters, in Wollongong.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded content for the Governor-General's 2022 Anzac Day Address at the Port Kembla RSL War Memorial.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Wollongong, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Craig Chapman, Chairman, American Australian Association.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Mick Gentleman MLA, Minister for Police and Emergency Services, attended a National Emergency Medal and ACT Emergency Medal presentation in recognition of the 2019-2020 Black Summer Bushfires.
