On Sunday 8 May 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Cobargo, New South Wales.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr John Walters, President, Cobargo Rural Fire Brigade, attended a NEM presentation for members of the Cobargo Rural Fire Brigade and Quaama Volunteer Bushfire Brigade.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended a lunch with Ms Danielle Murphy, Co-ordinator, Cobargo Recovery Centre; Ms Jacinta Maree-Carr, Cobargo Triangle Youth Ambassador; and Ms May Blacka OAM.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Zena Armstrong, Director, attended the 2022 Cobargo Folk Festival.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Cobargo, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
