On Tuesday 14 June 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Michael Pezzullo AO, Secretary, Department of Home Affairs, attended a Citizenship Ceremony to mark Refugee Week 2022.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as joint Patron-in-Chief, received Mrs Tanja Johnston, Founder, Australian National Veterans Arts Museum.

Later, Mrs Hurley met with Ms OJ Rushton, Vice-President and Creative Director, Ozy Youth Choir, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General received a telephone call from Professor Mary O'Kane AC, former Chief Scientist of NSW.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley, hosted an afternoon tea for Red Cross Australia to present the Governor-General’s Medallion and Red Cross Awards.
