On Monday 1 August 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Colonel Jaroslaw Stawski, Commander in Charge, Warsaw Garrison, Ministry of Defence, and Mr Arthur Harazim, Acting Director, Protocol MFA, visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with Mr Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland.

Later, Mrs Hurley, as guest of Professor Zbigniew Wawer, Director, Royal Łazienki Museum, visited the Royal Łazienki Museum and Park.

Then, the Governor-General met with Ms Elzbieta Witek, Marshal of the Sejm.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with Professor Tomasz Pawel Grodzki, Marshal of the Senate.

Later, the Governor-General attended a meeting and lunch with His Excellency Mr Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland.

Then, Mrs Hurley, as guest of Ms Tricia Brodrick, Wife of Ambassador, attended a walking tour of the Old Town, Warsaw.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended a Warsaw Uprising commemoration.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of His Excellency Mr Lloyd Brodrick, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, attended a reception with Australian Community Members.
