Protecting our natural environment is about doing everything we can, while it still exists, says Dr Sally Bryant AM.

“It’s a privilege to work on Tasmania’s wildlife, especially birds. It’s not just the science or research, the heart tells us why this island is so incredibly precious.”

Acknowledging the support of her family, friends, and colleagues at the Tasmanian Land Conservancy, Dr Bryant says she was surprised and humbled when learning about her appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia.

“I am honoured that conserving wildlife in lutruwita/Tasmania is being recognised nationally.”
