On Friday 14 April 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received Mr Ken Snell, Mr Glenn Crosland, Mr John Perryman and Mr Vince Creagh.

Afterwards, the Governor-General was represented at Old Parliament House for the state memorial service of the Honourable John Kerin AO by Honorary Aide-de-Camp Colonel Christopher Austin ADC.

Later, the Governor-General recorded a video message for EID 2023.

Then, the Governor-General received a phone call from the Honourable Matt Keogh MP, Minister for Defence Personnel and Veterans’ Affairs.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr John Richards, Churchwarden, attended a tree planting ceremony at St John’s Anglican Church to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
