On Tuesday 25 April 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Matt Anderson PSM, Director, Australian War Memorial, attended the 2023 Anzac Day Dawn Service.

Afterwards, the Governor-General attended breakfast with the Honourable Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mrs Kimberley Hicks, Chief Executive Officer, Returned Services League (ACT Branch), attended the 2023 Anzac Day Veterans’ March, where the Governor-General delivered the 2023 Anzac Day National Address.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Matt Anderson PSM, attended the nightly projection of names from the Roll of Honour at the Australian War Memorial.
