On Thursday 27 April 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Dr Malcom Beazley AM, visited and met with staff of the University of Canberra’s Australian National Museum of Education and  launched the Museum’s new website.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as joint Patrons, hosted an afternoon tea for team members, staff and friends of Special Olympics Australia.
