On Thursday 11 May 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students from St Joseph’s Primary School, Mereweather, New South Wales.

Then, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted Members of the House of Representatives, where the Governor-General received the Address-in-Reply from the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Honourable Milton Dick MP.  

Later, the Governor-General met with students from St Peter’s Girls’ School, Stoneyfell, South Australia.
