On Monday 5 June 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received a phone call from Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC CVO, Governor of Victoria.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley received Letters of Credence from His Excellency Mr Ahmed Abdulla Alharmasi Alhajeri accrediting him as the non-resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
