On Wednesday 14 June 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Councillor Linda Scott, President, attended the opening of 2023 ALGA National General Assembly.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Scott Leggo, officially opened the new Scott Leggo Gallery.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Mr Ewen McDonald, Head of the Office of the Pacific, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Later, the Governor-General received Councillor Fiona Stevens, Mayor, Mitchell Shire Council.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the ACT’s annual Prince of Wales Awards ceremony.
