On Tuesday 4 July 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.

 In the morning, the Governor-General received Ms Penny Williams PSM, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a ceremonial welcome in honour of His Excellency Mr Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with President Widodo and members of his official delegation.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a state lunch in honour of President Widodo.
