Sydney; Pheasants Nest, New South Wales; Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

On Monday 13 November 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), as guest of Mr Shane Phillips, Chief Executive Officer, attended a Tribal Warrior boxing session at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence.

Then, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Sydney to Pheasants Nest, New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Brigadier Michael Burgess, President, The Remembrance Driveway Council, attended the dedication of the Keith Payne VC Rest Area.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Pheasants Nest, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received representatives of the New South Wales Rural Doctors Network, including Dr Richard Colbran, Chief Executive Officer; Dr Tom Douch, Deputy Chair; and Ms Nicole Turner, Director, Aboriginal Workforce Development.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley, hosted a briefing and reception for representatives of Australia’s Royal Societies.
