On Saturday 2 December 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) met with His Excellency Mr Margaritis Schinas, Vice President, European Commission; and His Excellency Mr Gabriele Visentin, Ambassador of the European Union.   

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of His Excellency Mr Visentin, attended a gala event to mark the 100th birthday of Maria Callas.
