On Tuesday 23 January 2024, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted the Sydney University Regiment Council Meeting.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon tea for players and team staff for the GG’s XI.
