On Saturday 27 January 2024, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Melbourne, Victoria.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Jayne Hrdlicka, Chair, Tennis Australia, attended the Australian Open 2024 Women’s Final.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Melbourne, Victoria, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
