On Thursday 15 February 2024, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with the FIRST Nations Warrior’s Sports Academy Rugby Tens team.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with His Holliness Somdej Phra Maha Munivongse, 20th Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, at the Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram.   

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Her Excellency Dr Angela Macdonald PSM, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, attended lunch with prominent Australians in Thailand.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Australian and locally engaged staff at the Australian Embassy in Bangkok.

Afterwards, the Governor-General laid a wreath at the Hellfire Pass Memorial.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Her Excellency Dr Macdonald, attended a tour of the Spirit House.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Her Excellency Dr Macdonald, attended a reception with for Australian and Thai representatives defence and civilian alumni, senior Thai military representatives, and individuals who regularly engage at the Australian Embassy in Bangkok.
