On Friday 1 March 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), as guest of Mr Shane Phillips, Chief Executive Officer, attended a Tribal Warrior boxing session at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence.

Later, the Governor-General received a phone call from Councillor Robert Vance, Mayor, Pyrenees Shire Council, Victoria. 

Then, Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guest of Ms Ann Lisle, President, Women’s Pioneer Society, attended a luncheon ahead of International Women’s Day.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for Kidney Health Australia. 

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
