On Monday 4 March 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), received Ms Alison Creagh AM CSC, President, Paralympics Australia.  

Later, the Governor-General received a phone call from Councillor Bob Sanders, Mayor, Ararat Rural City, Victoria. 

Then, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley received Ms Sonia Di Mezza, interim Chief Executive Officer, Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services (MARSS) Australia. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Ms Renee Wilson, Chief Executive Officer, Australian War Widows – New South Wales.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Vice Admiral Mark Hammond AO RAN, Chief of Navy, attended a farewell reception for Commodore Fiona Sneath RAN.
