On Tuesday 5 March 2024, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley recorded video messages for Harmony Week, Easter, and the Festival of Veterans Arts.

Then, the Governor-General recorded a video message for Sikh Volunteers Australia. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Lighthouse Chrisitan College, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Brigadier Dan Fortune DSC and Bar (Retd). 

In the evening, Mrs Hurley, as Patron, hosted a tour for members of the 9th Canberra Girls’ Brigade at Government House.
