On Monday 17 June 2024, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC CVO DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Angus Kirkwood, First Assistant Secretary, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs, Department of Home Affairs, attended a Citizenship Ceremony to celebrate National Refugee Week.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Mr Smokey Cole, Pooley Sword.
In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Mr Scott Dewar, Australian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received His Excellency Mr Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner for Senior ADF Representatives.
