On Thursday 4 July 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Then, the Governor-General participated in an interview with Ms Sarah Macdonald, ABC Morning Radio.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Councillor James Woods, Mayor, West Arnhem Regional Council, and members of the West Arnhem Regional Council and the East Arnhem Regional Council.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Derek Yip, Ambassador-designate to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Then, the Governor-General participated in an interview with Mr Justin Smith, ABC Radio Melbourne.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Big Scrub Small Schools, Lismore, New South Wales, as they undertook a school tour of Government House.

Then, the Governor-General received Lieutenant General Simon Stuart AO DSC, Chief of Army.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Arthur Spyrou, Chief of Protocol, and Ms Pamela O’Grady, Deputy Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
