On Monday 24 June 2024, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC CVO DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, hosted a boxing session and breakfast for members of Tribal Warrior.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. 

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Rob Stefanic, Secretary, Department of Parliamentary Services, attended the unveiling of the Governor-General’s official portrait at Parliament House. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Ms Nishi Puri, President of the ACT Multicultural Association, and association representatives including; Mr Harsh Mohan, Mr Kranti Amar, Mr Ashok Jain, Ms Shashi Amar, Ms Madhu Jain, and Ms Kanwal Bawa.

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Rosemary Morris-Castico, Head of Mission designate to the Kingdom of Spain. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General invested Ms Avril Haines, United States Director of National Intelligence with the insignia of the Australian Intelligence Medal. 

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for current and former Government House Aides-de-Camp.
