On Tuesday 16 July 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Ms Yolanda Saiz, Chief Executive Officer, visited Our Lady of the Way, St Vincent de Paul Society.
Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Anne Loxley, Executive Director, met with the Arts and Cultural Exchange (ACE) staff and musical performing arts group at Club Weld.
In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Commander Jocelyn Blowfield RAN, Commanding Officer, visited the Defence Force School of Policing.
Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Wing Commander Fiona Grasby OAM, visited the Joint Military Police Force.
Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Marcinkewycz, Commanding Officer, visited the School of Military Engineering.
Later, the Governor-General, as guest of Lieutenant Colonel J, Commanding Officer, visited the 6th Aviation Regiment.
Then, the Governor-General as guest of Lieutenant Colonel G, Commanding Officer, visited the 2nd Commando Regiment.
In the evening, the Governor-General and His Excellency Mr Beckett SC travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
In the afternoon, the Governor-General was represented at the State Funeral of The Honourable Barry Thomas Pullen, by Brigadier Rob Marsh, Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General.
